I am an old-time Mazama with ascents of many peaks in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Idaho, Wyoming, and California. There have been hundreds of miles of hiking trails and camping all across America to the shores of Novas Scotia. I publish Fifty State Summits, a guide by Paul Zumwalt, as well as my own book, Mount Hood, A Complete History. My style is journalistic, with care to include who, why, what, where, when in every story. I have other historic work in manuscript form, hoping to publish it someday. |

In this order: Mostly performer, mostly singer, mostly lyric writer, mostly prose and poetry writer. Working to gather, organize and publish the first half of my life's prose and poetry collection. I've been published in small press and have won two Laureate Poetry Awards from The National Amateur Press Association. I have an ongoing music career that promises to move beyond fledging in this next phase of my life as I move toward 50. Some would hang it up at this point, and how sad, for this is when the richest elixir is beneath the surface waiting to be given. I wouldn't change a moment! :) See excerpts of group-assignments |
